Day 308: The 30th of May

Another day, another dungeon.

And by that I mean, I actually managed to wake up today. It was a bit of a challenge, but I got out of bed before midday, sat down and wrote up some notes. The afternoon was spent revising and chatting with Ben, followed by going out to grab a bite to eat.

All in all, a satisfactory bank holiday Monday. Let’s try this again tomorrow.

Day 307: The 29th of May

Today I did some work and did some sleeping.

Tomorrow will mark the beginning of a week of earnest revision. Early starts and lots of writing up, most likely. Should be pretty peaceful, all in all. Gotta love a bit of revision.

I shall probably be writing up mainly my land law while I am alone, since it shall require a lot of reading up to make sure I have everything I need to know. I also have a few spotty areas when it comes to EU law, so I shall have to read up on that too.

All in all, it shouldn’t be too bad. Let’s hope that it all goes in.

Day 306: The 28th of May

Today was peaceful.

I had a long nap. It was all very pleasant. I also got to make dinner and I think it was my best attempt yet. It actually tasted pretty good, not too sweet or anything. It took a bit of time to get the balance of ingredients down.

It was a nice day out today. Perfect for sitting around doing nothing. The people across the road brought their new grandchild round to show to my parents, which was interesting. Other than that, not much happened.

Day 305: The 27th of May

It was nice to go out with the gang again.

We had a delicious meal out at a local Indian restaurant one of the girls’ birthdays, which was great fun. Then we followed up with me and two of my mates getting a drink at the pub across the road and chatting about insecurities and whatnot.

I particularly enjoy and don’t feel too insecure going out for drinks in my hometown because I know that I will be able to get home and be alright no matter what time I leave. It allows me to forget about all of the usual worries and just enjoy the moment. So it was a pretty solid time.

Now I shall probably finish up and get some sleep. I actually feel pretty tired tonight. It’s the good kind of tired though, where you have had fun and now you can relax. See you guys later!

Day 304: The 26th of May

Well today I actually did do some work! It was pretty alright, in all fairness.

I wrote up the first lecture / topic of my Land module and then Ben and I started making some revision cards. It is going to be a fairly long process, but I reckon we can manage in a reasonable timeframe.

Other than that, I woke up fairly late again today. I shall be attempting to sort out my sleeping pattern in order to actually wake up in the morning again, but sometimes it is just so nice to lie there and think. Especially when I have mornings like this one, where I was thinking of a really cool dream and woke up, so I decided to just carry it on in my head and kept dreaming for another hour or so. Well, it wasn’t that cool of a dream, but it was a dream that I wanted to find out more about. You just have to turn that next page.

Anyway, tomorrow I shall be going out to eat with some friends for a birthday celebration. That should be a nice event. I have to write out a card tomorrow in preparation. I’m also going to try my best not to worry about this all day and thus get nothing done, since that is what usually happens if I am waiting for something all day.

I am rambling a bit now, so I shall head off. Goodnight everyone!

Day 303: The 25th of May

May is almost over. Maybe.

It has been a quiet day of doing nothing. I played some SMITE and found my EU revision notes.

That is about all, really.

I guess I will be revising tomorrow, then. I can’t say I terribly look forward to it, but it has to be done. Maybe I’ll figure out something fun to do if I spend some time revising in the meantime, eh?

Day 302: The 24th of May

It has taken me a solid day to get over the stress of coursework. I’m finally starting to feel more like myself.

I shall start revising in earnest soon enough, but for now I am just basking in that feeling of having nothing urgent to do. I know I can get all of my revision done in time. I am planning on making my own revision resources soon to help accelerate the process.

It’s going to be a lot of trawling through lecture slides and the textbook for a couple of weeks. I’ll also need to look up some journal articles to expand my knowledge; they really saved me last semester. I managed to read an article on the exact subject that came up and I got a first in that module.

Land is very heavily statute-based, whereas EU is much more case based. They are both terrible, but I can probably survive them. Land will definitely have easier questions. EU is all about critical thinking and linking together areas of the course and it just takes a lot more brain power.

Anyway, I am not too worried at this stage. Let’s all do our best!

Day 301: The 23rd of May

I have returned from celebrating my brother’s birthday.

I think I might be coming down with something. Either that or it is just stress, because I didn’t feel too well this evening and I was just pretty out of it altogether. I don’t feel able to concentrate too well and it is a bit of a pain. Maybe I’m just tired.

I feel like having a long lie in tomorrow. I hope I can avoid having to go to the barbers, I really don’t want to have to deal with that on my own, at least not right now. We will see what happens tomorrow, but I would really rather chill.

I’m going to head to bed now I think. See you guys later!

Day 300: The 22nd of May

It’s already been 300 days since I started this blog! Who knew time flew so fast?

In all fairness, it feels like it has been years since I started this blog. We are coming up fast to the first anniversary, which shall be an interesting thing to think about! Lots of things have happened in the 300 days since I started this blog and I am honestly rather impressed that I have managed to keep it up, even if my post quality is normally sub-par. The fact is, I write this blog partially to prove to myself that I can stick to a routine and keep it up long term and partially so I can vent about various things.

Today is also the day that I finished and handed in my coursework! I have checked and rechecked it so many times now that I cannot stop stressing myself about it! I plan to go to bed and sleep it off soon. Hopefully I will function better in the morning.

Tomorrow is my brother’s birthday and it shall likely also be my first day of revision. I don’t plan to get too much done tomorrow though, since it has been a stressful 2 weeks or so. You have to tone it down and chill after that, at least for a little bit.

Anyway, I am going to save any good ideas for blog posts for my 1 year anniversary, so I shall end this now! I wish everyone all the best in the upcoming week!

Day 299: The 21st of May

Gotta love a bit of dancing, eh?

This evening we went to the 21st birthday party of one of our family friends, and for quite a while I wasn’t really feeling that into it. I pretty much know no one else that they invite to their parties, so I usually just hang around with the family, plus I have had coursework on my mind a lot recently.

In the end it wasn’t too bad though. I got up and danced a little bit even though I wasn’t planning to, since I wasn’t really in a dancing mood and it was a pretty good time. It doesn’t help that I have had barely any sleep since I went to bed late yesterday. Cannot really get into an excited mood on less than 6 hours of sleep.

Anyway, tomorrow is my last day to work on my coursework and I am not terribly looking forward to it. It is going to be a lot of rereading and organising that I hope won’t take too long. In the end, when I write coursework I usually end up just saying enough is enough and submitting it when I cannot force myself to do any more for it, so that is likely what I shall do after I write the introduction and conclusion for my criminal work and then edit down the word count a bit.

I am pretty confident that I can at least pass with the work I have done, and typically I would say my work is of a fairly high standard, so I would like to get at least a 2:1. In all fairness though, the most important thing is that it will be out of the way and I will be able to relax and revise until the exams.

Anyway, I have been blabbering for a while and it is getting even later as I type, so I shall bid you adieu. Let’s fly together later, eh guys?
