Day 217: The 29th of February

Happy extra day! It has been a tiring one for me.

I had to head back to Farnborough today in order to start my cat-sitting for this month. This meant carting a lot of stuff with me in order to make my stay tonight a little bit more enjoyable. Things like my laptop and kindle, that I can’t really live without at the moment.

I have felt awful all day though, partially due to the psychology of coming back here. Mostly due to only getting 4 hours of sleep last night though. I had to fight to keep my eyes open in my lecture today. It’s no fun.

The plan is for me to head back home tomorrow night, stay over on Wednesday and then come back here for Thursday night. No point in me staying here when I don’t have to, right?

I know I said that I would do a write up tonight, but I think I will save it for when I am back in my room at home. This place still feels weird to me, even if I feel a lot more confident now.

As for right now, I’m going to try to catch up on all that missing sleep. See you around, ladies!

Day 216: The 28th of February

For today’s blog post, I wanted to explain the story of ‘Dune’.

For clarification, I have never read anything to do with the series apart from some snippets of wiki articles and my only other contact with it is from what my father and brother-in-law have said when they have discussed it. Despite this, I feel I have a pretty good grasp of the plotline.

Unfortunately, I am going to have to leave it for tomorrow night, most likely. I ended up playing some League of Legends with the crew (as it were) and we played far too late. I am going to pay the price for this.

My day was spent helping my brother move his stuff to his new house. I got to sit in a cold van for a couple of hours, so it’s all good. All in all, I got to meet some new cats, so it was pretty peaceful.

There was One-Eyed Jack, the one-eyed cat. Matey Jones, the whole gang.

I’m going to bed.

Day 215: The 27th of February

Today was great fun! It started off well too, with me getting a ridiculous amount of sleep.

Last night I went to bed at 10:00 PM, extremely early by my standards. I also woke up at 12:00 PM. I must admit, I felt refreshed.

Most of the day has been spent on Minecraft. I have made a lot of improvements to the building I was making and it is almost done now! Soon we shall be updating to the new version, but until then this build is my pride and joy.

After a while of that, Emma and Ben came on and we started a survival mode map. This led to several hours of hilarity as we built out from our little island with no trees that we started upon. That is where the true beauty of Minecraft lies, in the multiplayer and the stories that you can create with your friends and family.

Now it is late though. I should be going to bed. And I shall.

Day 214: The 26th of February

Today was a busy day. Up at 6:00 AM and back at 8:00 PM. Four hours on the trains in total.

This is the first time in a long time that I have felt this bone-weary before 10:00 PM. Normally I stay up until midnight even when I slept very little. Still, I don’t think I’ll begrudge my body a few extra hours of sleep. It sounds pretty good to me right now.

I’m not even going to drag this one out. I need some count some Zs.

Day 213: The 25th of February

I got my results today! I am going to keep this brief, I need to be up at 6:00 AM.

So, I received my results, as I said. I got a 1st for Contract, 2:1s for both Land and Public and a 2:2 for Criminal. I call that a win, even though I should have done better for criminal.

The other guys all seem to have done well too, which is good to hear. I mean, in reality all we need to do is pass this year, but it feels nice to not feel awful at your subject.

Anyway, I had better bounce. Have a good one!

Day 212: The 24th of February

I did lots of work today. I did, however, take the easy route out and avoided the reading. That is work for the train.

On another note, tomorrow I get back my results from the first semester. I have no idea how well I have done, so it shall be interesting to see. I get nervous when I think about it though, so I have been avoiding that.

I am glad about my lecture being late in the evening tomorrow, so that I have some extra time to finish my tutorial prep. I have already prepared for the questions in three out of the four tutorials. It should all go well, assuming I can get the reading done. I am going to focus on cases and articles while I am on the train, so that I can use my phone for them.

Wednesdays are so beautiful. Not working is amazing.

I didn’t really do much else today though. Just work. So in that case, I’ll head off.

Day 211: The 23rd of February

Today happened. Not much other than that though.

I think I didn’t get enough sleep last night. It has been a while since I have been this tired. I also know that I won’t get my work done while I am falling asleep at my desk. Tomorrow shall be a day of pure work to get it all done for Friday. It shall be glorious.

I get my results on Thursday too. That shall be an experience I am sure.

Sleepy.

Day 210: The 22nd of February

Today was weird. It started out so well and now I feel pretty bad.

I had a short lecture today, meaning I got home far earlier than normal. This was all well and good and I had a pretty good afternoon, being able to sit around and not work on my tutorial preparation.

Then this evening rolled around. Not blaming anyone, I just had a lot of distractions that prevented me from doing the work I wanted to get done, meaning I now have even more to do tomorrow. It is just a pain.

The other major reason for my bad mood is that my evening cool down time was cut into significantly. My brother was here, chilling in my room, which was fair enough, even if he was here for hours. It just left me with next to no time to just relax on my own. Also, he was in my room and this has always been my safe place, where I don’t have to worry about other people.

I’m not blaming him though, I very rarely see him nowadays anyway. It’s more that I am just frustrated with myself for not getting this work done.

I just need to sleep. Once I get back into the work ethic I won’t be so irritable.

Day 209: The 21st of February

Today was weird. It felt kind of empty, to be honest.

Of course, it is Sunday, the most depressing day of the week. The thoughts 0f having to go back to work or school weighs on the minds of all people and that somewhat sours the whole experience. It doesn’t help that today also had terrible weather. No cheery sun to bring me out of this mental slump.

I slacked off and didn’t do enough work today, either. I should have got one of my tutorials out of the way. Now I have to do it tomorrow, which won’t be too fun. It shall be an evening of work for both Monday and Tuesday and a full day of work on Wednesday. As for Thursday, I shall probably try to get some work done in the morning. I have to have all my prep done for Friday, which will be a painful experience by all accounts.

I’ll be back in the flow soon enough. We shall just have to wait and see.

I’m going to head off.

Day 208: The 20th of February

This is the latest I’ve been up in a while. I hurt.

My stomach is currently aching up a dream while I sit here at my desk. It’s the sort of ache that makes life not very fun and sucks the fun out of everything else, too.

I saw Deadpool today, which was thoroughly enjoyable. My father was incredibly happy after seeing it, it has exactly his style of humour in it.

I feel like I am in a downswing of my mood at the moment. The past few days have not been as peppy as normal. No worries though, I probably just need sleep.

See you, ladies!
